This tournament was initiated in 2007 and was a joint project between the Kodiak Lions Club and the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association. The tournament has grown to it's own
501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Corporation. All proceeds from ticket sales, less expenses, are paid to KRAA to help fund additional equipment expenses not covered by the ADF&G / KRAA Kodiak King Salmon Enhancement cooperative agreement.
